Hidden Portraits by Abrar Bajari

Our latest submission is a project by Abrar Bajari, a young photographer exploring self portratiure as a form of expression by name of “Hidden Portraits”. Here is what the artist had to say about her practice and the project:

Hey there! my name is Abrar Bajri. I have a wide range of interests but they all centre around creating and communicating with people. there is nothing i love more than people + capturing their authentic moments.

About Hidden Portraits:

Its actually a true story, as an artist I used to always be behind the camera kinda of girl. I either photographing or filming people, but one day I had been In a situation where I had to photograph myself for a uni project! I was really confused and nervous of how can I exactly express myself! without looking at the camera just because I don’t really feel comfortable in doing that, so I decided to focus on representing my Yemeni and Saudi roots through dress and jewellers. However,  now I have developed this style for all of my self portrait photographs!
