Nothing Lasts by Leen Sabounchi

Hello

My name is Leen Sabounchi, @sabouncearts on instagram. Just thought I’d submit this. It revolves around the idea of how accepting that nothing lasts actually relaxes you. This arabic gum reminded me of this, as its flavor disappears in 3 minutes. It’s a humorous approach to an unavoidable reality.

About the artist:

My passion is to design and visualize creative material that aims to trigger thought in the minds of others. I like to conceptualize ideas that aren't usually ordinary, about the human existence, and our world in general. I love to create collages and illustrations of psychedelic looking objects, as I believe that this type of art allows people to look at things from a surrealist point of view. Thus, it takes people out of their comfort zone, and makes them think in a different type of way. I believe people should always be exposed to more than one angle on different topics, as the most important thing to me is widening my intellectual scope.

I enjoy my time creating art, whether through type posters, collages, illustrations, typography and photography as I feel art is a peaceful way of making a statement about numerous aspects of our world, which includes looking at spiritual content, political points of view, and just creating intriguing thoughts that cross our minds, for the aim of inspiring people to look at the picture, not necessarily at a larger scale, but through a different perspective.
